Right -- I'm sure the Swiss would have been terrified not to extradite Polanski if the request had come from Sarah Palin the Warrior Princess, or the fearsome giant-killer Ronald Reagan, or, say, George W. Bush. Remember how Bush just snapped his fingers and every country on the planet fell in line and contributed troops to the Iraq invasion? That was awesome. I really miss that guy. He commanded global respect.
